The Sunshine Award

I’d like to thank and acknowledge the kindness of  Sylvester L. Anderson {syl65} for the Sunshine Award.  Syl  evidently has the passion for writing poems, he wrote his first for his mother on mother’s day when he was on third grade (such a loving son and so sweet).   He is into creative writing and desires to inspire others through poetry.  Has published two poetry collections, to see more of his book and poems, please do check out his blog.  His pieces charmingly captivate emotions in every line, every word sways and engages one’s attention  all the more because of its universal appeal.

Syl’s questions:

Why did you decide to start a blog?

No serious reason, everything started for fun.   My eldest, Zari, introduced me to the world of digital art, from then on i enjoyed it and thought it would be fun to create and share my pieces at WP.

What is your blog about?

Kintal is about the impressions in life that we all create.  I use my children’s artwork and mine [both traditional and digital] along with my reflections and thoughts.  Precisely the reason why i named my blog Kintal.

What inspires you on a daily basis?

I love drawing and coloring.  Seeing the images i create and have created inspires me more.  It motivates me to  put my thoughts that would go well with them and publish at WP.

What is the first song that comes to mind right now? (feel free to say why)

Dust In The Wind.  I have loved the song ever since, i particularly like the message.

What is one of your favorite quotes?

That of Francis Bacon’s “prosperity doth best discover vice, but adversity doth best discover virtue”.  It is very enlightening.  In fact, in college, my thesis was about his maxims.

My questions for my nominees:

  1. What flower or plant would best represent you?
  2. What animal or insect would best represent your loved one?
  3. Which board game do you think is a facsimile of the game of life?
  4. When do you prefer to meditate?  Sunset or sunrise?
  5. If you were given a chance to choose the kind of talent you’d like to have, what would it be?
